Seeing how today is Comic Relief, I thought it would be good to highlight the benefits of donating through the Gift Aid scheme. Using Gift Aid will allow your chosen charity to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift, which makes each donation more valable. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can also claim relief on part of the donation.

What this means is that not only can you claim relief back, but you are also helping the lives of millions of people who are supported by charities. Read the information here

We tend to look for information that will assist our clients in mitigating their personal risk. In this case they can offset their organisations tax on their donations.

Not only will Charities benefit, but they can reduce the amount they pay the tax man!
